My standard base rates:
The first month of the project -- $45.00 an hour.
The second month of the project -- $42.00 an hour.
The rest of the project -- $40.00 an hour.
Rates based on an eight-hour billing day; after eight-hours, the overtime rate of base-plus-ten dollars applies.
If travel is involved, I require that you pay reasonable travel costs (coach fare, a mid-market hotel with internet connections, a rental car and gas, if necessary, and actual expenses up to a maximum of $50 per diem.)
I am also willing to negotiate flat rates, including an inclusive flat rate. But I would need to see the documents, see the discovery requests, or know information needed from the documents, and the time for turnaround.
